Friday Lolz

So after Jezebel destroyed my life by not preparing me for a woman wearing period juice as lipstick I went to my other blogs to find an anti-dote. Thank god for this:

Sunny Sunday

After being sick and a rainy weekend in which I had to trek all over Williamsburg the sun has finally come out (literally and figuratively). I got my ideal apartment (more to come on that later), I'm healthy, I have food in my cabinets again, I'm going to a tarot reading at 3. This is the start of a brand new day. A beautiful, hardwood floored, exposed brick, garden apartment kind of day where I am regularly blessed with images like this one from Sarah:
So let's just all rejoice, put cheese on something and toast it!

Fox That!

So everywhere I turn today all I can hear about is Chris Brown's major beatdown on RiRi. Breaks my heart it really does.

That's why when I found this video on Dlisted it really brightened my cloudy, cloudy day. Enjoy.

Conspiracy Theory 2008

First The Mentalist steals from Psych and that travesty gets swept under the rug (horrible, definitely, but I can live with it). But this--this needs to be investigated. If my dreams were to come true and I woke up as Veronica Mars then I'd solve this case. But alas, I'm no spunky, cynical, teen detective. So let's gather the troops and solve this group-effort-style. Here are the facts:

1. Psych episode Lights, Camera,...Homicidio airs Jan. 2008 where a murder takes place on the set of a soap due to a prop knife being switched out with a real knife.
2. Jimmy Smits stabs a stuntman after he accidentally picks up the real knife instead of the prop knife on Oct. 2008.
3. Stage actor slits his own throat on stage when the prop knife was switched out for a real one on Dec. 12, 2008.

So let's get this straight: less than a year after the fictional story airs on everyone's favorite psychic/crime/buddy comedy show two real and near identical events happen to occur. Unlikely.

This is not a case of coincidence nor fact. This is high profile conspiracy drama.

Possible culprits, you ask? I'm still working on that. Here's the list so far

Crispin Glover (Reasons: Obvious)
Aaron Echolls (Reasons: Statutory rapist, murderer, cheater, and just a plain douchebag)

Spaghetti Cat (Reasons: I can barely eat spaghetti. I definitely don't trust a cat who knows how)
The Mobile Alabama Leprachaun (Reasons: I don't trust that sketch, and I don't trust him)

That's all I got so far. Any help I can get to VMars this shit is quite welcome.

Mozzerella Stick Hamster

So we've all heard of Spaghetti Cat. He's the real breakout star of 2008 (sorry, JoBros). And now there's Broccoli Kitten? It just makes me wonder what else one could find on YouTube by just typing in two of your favorite things. Which of course leads me to an old throw-back favorite, brought to me by the always fabulous, always inappropriate, Sarah. It is always dedicated to anyone who ever wondered what exactly comes up on YouTube if you type in "Josh Groban" and "Jurassic Park." Here's to you.

Hamster? I Hardly Know Her!

Let's talk about Bolt.

Normally, an animated film featuring John Travolta and Miley Cyrus would be pretty low in my favor. Unless it's Grease or Pulp Fiction, JT just grimes me out. And yes, I have watched Hannah Montana and yes, I have laughed and sang along. (I also may have asked for my mom to pay off her "Fine, I started smoking again" debt with me by taking me and a friend to the 3D concert-win, win, win, you know? Good times for me, teach my mom a lesson--J. Walter Weatherman was booked, and awkward times for my friend). But MiCy is no Hannah, and now that I don't have access to that jewel of a tv sitcom, Hannah fades from my memory only to be replaced by superslut Miley. That leaves no celebrity induced inclination to see it and while the plot would have enticed me as a child, I stopped thinking I was some sort of Sadie of the Wolves at the age of eight so the dog angle is lost on me. But oh, poor poor boyfriend. The first order of business for our next reunion is to go it. Why you might ask? One simple reason:
If that is not the cutest thing you have ever seen then something is wrong with you. I do have to admit, I sort of have this hamster thing. I just think they are cuter than babies, Keropi, kittens, you name it. A cute hamster trumps all, and the fatter the better. My poor boyfriend once again falls vicim to my obsession. The final ten minutes of our last phone call were completley spent with me giggling to myself as I googles pictures of my favorite rodent. His pains weren't for nothing though. This post shall reap the rewards of his trials and tribulations. I present: Adorable Hamsters 2008.These picture really make me miss Buckles, Zipper, Buttons and all my other childhood hammies. Oh, and yeah, we did name all of our hamsters after fastening devices. But there they are: the cutest damn things the Internet contains nowadays. Enjoy.

Mythic Creature or My New BFF?

The answer to that question is obviously my new best friend forevs. As a fan of everything oversized, miniturized, and furry this is like a dream come true. It hits two of my three favorite categories (a feat only previously accomplished by my disproportianate cat Faust).

This picture is my dreams come true and more. Is it even necessary to point out the sheer awesomeness of it's owner? No. The beret, the awkward smile, the Cosby sweater-it says it all.

It is necessary, however, to point out that he reminds me slightly of my dad but a little less Steve Martin and wearing wooden shoes.

One day I will own one of these and name him Rufus (Roofie for short) and he'll carry my other rabbits-to-be (Benjamin Linus and Baxter) around rodent koala-cab. Happily ever after...

PS. Watch out about showing this picture to your stoner friends. We once had to take away a friend's debit card to stop her from purchasing one of these bad boys after she and Mary-Jane had a little too much fun.
